SarahGrace Bio
It all started with a Kickstarter. Someone else’s Kickstarter that is…three years ago, when SarahGrace was 15 years old, her mom contributed to her childhood friend’s crowdfunding campaign to pursue her dream of developing an album of songs she’d written over the years. This contribution led to SarahGrace and April K Music collaborating on a song, “Outsider,” with the goal for SarahGrace to learn the songwriting, recording, and production process. The team of SarahGrace, April K, and Kevin McNoldy were so inspired by working together that they decided to create an entire album for SarahGrace. Despite the obstacles and setbacks (school, jobs, geography, COVID, etc.), they got together for five or six very productive sessions over a three-year period, each time creating new songs to include on the album.
SarahGrace has been singing forever, but began classical training at Harmonia Music Academy, Vienna, Virginia, when she was 12 years old. She participated in school choirs through elementary, middle, and high school, and she auditioned and was selected for All District, All State, and Virginia Honors Choirs during middle and high school. She’s also no stranger to the stage, leading musical productions, talent shows, and solo spotlights. SarahGrace is a Freshman at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she is studying Psychology and Music.
While attending college, SarahGrace continues to write, sing, and learn music theory and composition techniques. In addition to her new album, she plans to release more singles before she graduates. Due to COVID restrictions, she hasn’t been singing in public. She hopes that will change by the end of this summer, when she would love to share her music with live performances. In the meantime, she’ll continue to write and record with her partners, April and Kevin, while using her sweet indie pop voice and piano to connect with her friends on social media.
